Everything You Want

Aside from its picturesque beaches and water activities, Rockport has a number of museums and historical landmarks. So, it’s one location within the Texas Gulf Coast that really stands out. The Rockport Beach is a fantastic area for recreation that you and your family can enjoy. And if you want to do some fishing, you can never go wrong with the Copano Bay Fishing Pier. From there, you can catch many of the indigenous fish in the area. And if you want something different to experience, you can visit the Texas Maritime Museum or the Fulton Mansion (which is a state-recognized historical site).

Both locations are considered to be top attractions in the area, but there are many other things that this town has to offer. Some of these include:

  • The Aquarium at Rockport Harbor — You can enjoy many aquatic animals of the Texas Gulf Coast, which has an incredible amount of biodiversity. And you can see them up close.
  • Community Aquatic and Skate Park — Nestled inside a 12-acre forest of live oak trees, this eight-lane lap pool and diving area is a great place to enjoy some amazing water sports. It also has a zero-depth children’s pool with slides and sprays. And if you want to do some hardcore skating, you can enjoy a 6,000-square-foot skate park.
  • Copano Bay Fishing Pier — Located north of Fulton off of Highway 35, it has some of the best fishing in the Texas Gulf Coast. The pier has two sections that cover more than 8,600 feet of space that can be used for world-class fishing, and it’s open 24 hours a day all year round.
  • Texas Maritime Museum — You can learn about the sea-faring heritage of Texas — from the early European explorers to the modern sailors of today. And it has many interesting exhibits of navigational tools and artifacts related to nautical culture and industries of the Texas Gulf Coast.

Rockport, TX is well-known for its access to the South Texas Gulf Coast, and it has many types of water recreation — some of which include:

  • Boating
  • Fishing
  • Duck hunting
  • Water skiing
  • Swimming
  • Bird watching

It’s also a great place for seafood. So if you like to have fish for dinner, Rockport is the place for you!
